mccartney on mixonline

October 11, 2007

MixOnline is currently featuring a track by track rundown of Paul McCartney’s Memory Almost Full with album producer David Kahne. I always love articles like these where we get a glimpse of how the recordings were done and what equipment was used etc. the article confirms Kahne’s use of Steinberg Cubase Studio 4 for recording. McCartney’s album does sound a bit too digitally compressed for my ears but i suppose that how McCartney and Kahne wanted the album to sound. anyway, writer Matt Hurwitz posted some extra tidbits that didn’t make it into the article over on abbeyrd’s beatles page.

read the MixOnline article here.
and Matt Hurwitz’s extras over at abbeyrd. (look for the 10/05/07 update).
