thinking about valentine’s day which as a matter of fact is coming up in a couple days, I was trying to recall the last time I spent a romantic getaway with my wife. gosh, it has been a long while. especially now that we have kids, there’s rarely a chance to do something on our own. I remember our last getaway was a trip to New York City right before our oldest son was born. If I recall correctly, it was one of our first visits to the big apple and booked a couple New York City tours through Trusted Tours & Attractions. we had a blast and still remember that trip fondly. I remember going on top of the Empire State building as well as visiting the Statue of Liberty. we also made sure to stop by Serendipity to get some ice cream. that was something up high on my wife’s list for some reason.
I’m dying for another trip like that. like I mentioned before, it has been ages. and since it’s tough finding someone to take care of our kids for an extended period of time we might just settle on finding some family vacation ideas for us all to enjoy. Oh, and I just noticed that the fine folks over at Trusted Tours & Attractions publish a newsletter that’s chock full of great tour packages as well as a wealth of travel ideas. it’s definitely well worth checking out before your next vacation.
