lunar eclipse

Tonight is one of those night when I wish I had a telescope. The last total lunar eclipse until 2010 will be occurring later this evening. not only that but Saturn and the star Regulus will be visible on either side of the moon during the eclipse. of course the view of Saturn would truly be a sight to behold if one had a telescope (and a clear night sky of course). I’ve been browsing through the telescope reviews over at Astromart.com to see if I can find one that would be perfect for me and my little kids. you know, it’s great to see the kids so excited about the lunar eclipse which really opens them up to learning more about the universe and other planets in the solar system. I’m bound and determined to get a decent telescope so that we’ll be ready the next time a major event like this happens. and I’m going to be sure to keep astromart bookmarked so that I can keep up with the latest in astronomy news and information.
