McCartney on Howard Stern

January 14, 2009

As a Paul McCartney fan, I tend to hear the same ol’ stories from McCartney in his interviews over and over again. with questions like – “Do you miss John Lennon?”, “When will the Beatles reunite?”, or “What was it like, being in the Beatles?”, I’m always amazed at how Sir Paul continually keeps his composure when asked boring old questions like these. Obviously the interviewers are to blame and from the fan’s point of view, these interviews are simply wasted opportunities. That’s why I was glad to hear that McCartney went on the Howard Stern show this morning. Yes, Stern is known to be crude and disgusting but the guy has an amazing talent in disarming his guests and getting them to tell stuff they wouldn’t normally say otherwise. Plus, Stern is a huge Beatles/Macca fan so he knows not to ask the usual tried and true Beatles-related questions that fans have heard the answers to repeatedly over and over again. And thanks to some cool Macca fans, us non-Sirius subscribers are able to listen to the Stern-Macca interview. just download the audio of the interview via megaupload. It may not be up for long so get it while you can. enjoy.

**update 16Jan08**: The interview is now available on youtube. here are the links.
