I saw Steve Augeri with Journey in concert years ago at the Pensacola Civic Center in Pensacola, Florida. I also have a DVD “Journey 2001″ which shows one of their concerts from December 2000 in Las Vegas. Steve Augeri has an amazing stage presence and voice. I wish he could go back and once again be the frontman for Journey. I wish Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Ross Valory would seriously reconsider bringing him back into the band. It would be a HUGE, HUGE plus for the band and make many fans return to concert arena venues to see the band, in my humble and honest opinion. Steve Augeri, you are greatly missed by Journey fans worldwide!

I was able to meet Steve Augeri in Chicago,IL/2011. I have been to about 4 of Steve’s concerts starting back in 1998 as Journey’s new frontman, because I wanted to hear the new voice of Journey. I was not expecting much since Steve Perry, so I went to the concert in 1998. The 1998 concert was awesome! I can tell you right now Steve Augeri is very talented, and is a very nice person to meet. His voice is better now, and is touring with The Steve Augeri Band. I hope everyone gets a chance to see his concert, it will be worth every penny of your ticket. See for yourself, give him a chance.

I think the interview was awesome! Refreshing to hear a musician be so humble and filled with gratitude of being the lead singer of Journey. Jumping into Steve Perrys shoes was no easy task im sure! But,Augeri was wrong on one statement “A good many vocalists that could have done EASILY the job that I did”..NO ONE could have done a better job replacing (my) Steve Perry!..

Being a female lead vocalist and singing a Journey set was no easy thing on vocal chops! I can only imagine what his body and voice went through..I was a performer in bands since teens and had to have 4 surgeries on vocal cords and can no longer sing!!It was my life as Im sure it was Augeri’s. Just doing a journey set was grueling for me! Augeri was/is awesome!!..Hope to hear his AMAZING voice again!
He replaced someone who was irreplaceable to me..God bless you Steve and your health!

Steve was absolutely awesome as Journey’s frontman. I saw them perform several times with him as their lead vocalist. He has terrific stage presence that made me always want to return for more each time the shows ended. I was at the final show Steve did with Journey. He was awesome, even with the throat issues. And Deen was so good, stepping up to help him out on some songs. I’ve seen the guys once since Arnel took his place, and frankly, as much as I love Journey, I doubt that I’ll see them again. Arnel has a good voice, but he doesn’t have the right stage presence needed for Journey. Nope, he just doesn’t.

Rock on Steve Augeri ! Can’t wait to see you when your solo career cranks up ! Miss ya, man !

I was at the Las Vegas concert of their 2001 DVD. There’s no way Steve was lip syncing anything. He was incredible. I couldn’t believe anyone could step into the shoes of Steve Perry, but he did. I don’t even think that the new guy (Arnell) has Steve Augeri’s class or stage presence.

amazing!! i couldnt beleive that a filo can ever do the wonders of the journey. The new frontman of the band, Arnel Pineda- a filipino has the angelic voice that something we’d really missed from Mr. Perry and Mr. Augeri.
Im a great fan of the band. Thus, how i wish i could see the dynamic trio performing live together on their ever mega reunion. ” JOURNEY AT HOME”

I am incredibly impressed by how graceful and kind Augeri is. He’s a genuine vocal talent and, as this interview reveals, someone with a maturity that is rare; particularly in the entertainment industry.

His entire reflection on the past could have been filled with sour grapes: vocal health problems, being replaced by a younger vocalist,etc. Instead, he comes across as an empowered and grounded journeyman. (Some of the other members of the band would be wise to follow his example.)

I’m no groupie or fan but I look forward to hearing more from this guy.

well i never got the chance to see him perform and i really like the way he sang the journey songs i really wish he was still singing with them…
