hey all! Just checking in after a full day of being super Retro Soccer Dad. yup, most saturdays means me chauffeuring around the kids to their various activities. Today’s highlight was seeing my 8 year old score his *first* official goal during a real match. that was super cool! I hope your weekend is going well. The weather is a bit *hot* around here for early May. we’re currently over 90 degrees at the moment. but I guess that better than cold and rainy, right?
anyway, I just wanted to wish all the moms that visit retroblog a wonderful and happy Mother’s Day weekend! Hope you all are enjoying yourselves!!

OK, not to be a killjoy but I have to bring Kate up – in her recent interviews, when asked how she is dealing with the Jon stuff she says “we are dealing with it just like everybody else does.” What does that mean? How does everybody else deal with a husband that’s out drinking and carousing? Because I don’t know. Not that my husband is perfect or anything. But she’s trying to make it sound like “you ninny, everybody deals with stuff like this.”

Thanks JenS for the web link – the writer was right-on re Take – some of the comments below article were definitely from sheeples – just hope the show ends – I wouldn’t be surprised if they did stay together though but with him living above the garage (if he isn’t already) – I live in Pa. and Pa. divorce laws are no-fault and she would have to pay him 1/2 of what mansion is worth – plus pay him (since he is a stay-at-home mr. mom) – spousal support til the divorce goes thro. Since this is the third incident, IMO Kon just wants out.

But I think more and more of their fans are seeing the light concerning these two. I’ve read a lot of comments the past week where fans are changing their minds about them and now speaking out on it.

I spent most of the weekend (apart from posting the soccer field photo) away from the computer and away from this blog. whew. I definitely needed that.
Spending time with family and friends helped put perspective on what transpired last week.

I watched Kate on Rachel Ray this morning. I don’t like to bash others, but she looked terrible. Her face and eyes were puffy. Like she cried too much or had too much botox. She did a project with Rachel. You can bet the kids never got to do it at home. I watched a rerun yesterday when they were in NC for the July 4th holiday. She made a red, white and blue cake. The girls helped to decorate it. She screamed at them for eating the fruit. After that she expected them to smile for a photo. Kate really has some kind of emotional or mental issues. I wonder what her childhood was like. She has said she wanted her kids to experience things she never did. Well Kate, I am sure your parents did the best they could with what they had. Get over it. They are not going to remember the free trips and the special treatment, but they will remember that you and Jon use any excuse to be away from them. You have a beautiful house, but it is not a home. It is a very sad place. You say that everything you do is for the kids. I don’t think they care about you surgeries and expensive clothes. I think your new appearance ages you. I was very disappointed they way that Rachel gushed about you. How about doing an interview with Nancy Grace?
Hello All! I have been reading your posts and lmao! I have to agree that J&K are just awful! I just want to say that Kate is not original in anyway with her parenting style. My mother is the exact same way (only we were poor), and my sister-in-law is a multi-millionaire and she is also the SAME way! As a child of psychology I just want to scream at Kate and maybe slap some sense into her.
Take it from someone who has lived the life your are giving to your children; they WILL NOT care if you took them to Hawai’i or that you gave them a giant house to live in. They will always feel lonely and worthless due to your yelling, demanding, and more importantly how you care about your “career” and spa days more than them. My mother had T.V. shows and food; you have spa days and a “career”. Same clown different makeup.
I apologize for the rant but man that woman just gets on my nerves! I feel so sorry for the little ones, I know how they must and will eventually feel.
Is there a reason why no one has been blogging on the j&k blog or is it just me being stupid? Has the disscusions been moved to somewhere else? Oh and happy mothers day (even though it’s a little late).
OK, now Kate is being accussed of infidelity? What next? I think she is realizing that he decision to put herself out there has affected her tiny network of friends. She admits in the People article that they have “very few friends left” How sad is that? And, her lack of friends isn’t because she is on TV, it’s they way she treats others. She says she doesn’t like to be called a celebrity, but she sure acts like one.
I saw another article in regards to their season premier being delayed now due to all these accusations. I think they should stop the show, period. They’ve made their money, now it’s time to step back and put the kids first before themselves and Jon needs to just stand up to her and just say no, I am not doing this anymore.

I think it’s a shame what has happened on this blog… it is literally the first and only one I have ever posted on.
I’m hoping it’s just a slow week, but if not, it’s pretty ridiculous.
I just got home and have caught all the new updates on the saga of J&K… and it looks like the pressure is finally catching up with Miss Super Star Kate… because it seemssss like she’s finally telling the truth! WOW! Trouble in paradise… who woulda thought?? Affair with Gray? Never woulda guessed. I sure wish someone would give an update on the 8 Little Faces sitting all alone at home in a mansion, with no nanny. What a shame.

As a coincidental vistor and then lurker on the addictive J & K portion of this site, I caught a part of the recent controversy. You seem to have fallen over backwards to accomodate these ladies, and you handled the final drama and the abrupt exodus very graciously.
You are a gentleman in the best sence of that word.
I may have come here originally due to those Gosselin posts, but have enjoyed exploring the rest of your site.

TLC are like starving greedy sharks awaiting a feeding frenzy, let’s disappoint them! TLC is anticipating that this will be the best season ever with all the troubles this family is going through. I am making a plea to all who want to see this show off the air for the sake of these children and other exploited reality TV children that everyone turn the channel, do not watch anymore of this train wreck! I will not watch it! I’m just as curious as the next person though and while it may seem hard to turn away from a train wreck, it’s not hard to turn it off when I picture those eight little faces so hurt and in need of help so I refuse to participate in the continued hurt of those kids. Their idiot parents don’t know how to say no, that enough is enough because they are possessed with greed, more, more, moreeeeeeee! TLC won’t stop the madness because they also are filled with greed, they don’t give a hoot about those kids! It’s left up to us the viewers and I hope we all can just say no and bring those ratings down to zil or as close to zil that they actually begin to lose money by continuing to air the show. That would be great! So, I make a plea to everyone who cares about these kids and other reality kids who are being exploited to refuse to watch this crap. All you have to do is turn it off. I know everyone is curious of the train wreck but you can get the info. you want from the newspapers and even online or on youtube w/out watching TLC. So those who care about these kids and other kids like them, please don’t watch and let TLC know you will not be watching.
Also, spread the word to others. Thank you all who refuse to watch this crap anymore and who let their voices be heard for the sake of the children.
