Hi Phil,

As I mentioned in my previous comment on this page, the poster was only available at the event. I don't believe there are any of the posters left but check with Doug and Mel of RundgrenRadio (the promoters of the concert) just in case.
again, here's their contact info: http://rundgrenradio.com/contact.html

I also would like to buy a copy of the Akron AWATS poster. Honestly I am not a big fan of Todd Rundgren, but I really like that poster and would like it for my gig poster collection.

you can get in touch with Doug and Mel at http://www.rundgrenradio.com

they were the promoters of the AWATS shows.

I'm not sure if they have any of the posters left but it's worth a try!

That illustrated Akron show poster is awesome. I didn't make it to the show, but I really want one of those posters.
I tried contacting the artist Jefferson Wood, but he said that he doesn't have any, and does not sell his posters. He mentioned that the promoter may have a few left that he might sell. But I cannot find the page where I can buy one. I am kind of running out of time because I wanted to get one for my wife for her birthday, and I still need to get it framed. I heard that these are selling for over $300 now, and would like to get it for under that if I can. That is why I am hoping I can get the link for the promoter.

As a side note, you should check out the artist's website http://www.concertpostergraphics.com. I was surprised by his stuff in his poster section. I definitely remember seeing his Tom Petty poster before.

Anyway, HELP!

[...] <em>I caught the two Chicago gigs via webcast this past weekend and it was well worth the $20. It featured multi-camera views of the concert and good sound right off the soundboard. Todocast also provides the webcast as an archive so for those that didn’t catch the show live can still watch the shows after the fact.</em>[...]

here's a good review from the beacon journal [spoiler alert!!]-

http://www.ohio.com/news/57660187.html

excerpt:
<em>Though the ''theatricalization'' of A.W.A.T.S. was known by fans, Rundgren did surprise many in the sold-out theater when the evening's opener turned out to be a reunion of Rundgren's eclectic prog/pop/rock band Utopia, which hasn't performed together in over a decade. They included original members keyboardist/singer Roger Powell and bassist/singer Kasim Sulton, and longtime Tubes/Rundgren drummer Prairie Prince, in place of John Wilcox.

...

As for the main event, Rundgren, 61, and his band successfully turned the odd, ambitious and endearing 55-minute album into an odd, ambitious and endearing hour-plus visual and aural rock 'n' roll theater of the absurd. The opener, International Feel, found Rundgren entering the stage in a space suit, the first of eight costume changes that included a black tuxedo for the cover of Never Never Land, a foppish burgundy velvet jacket, pants and puffy shirt for You Don't Have to Camp Around, a shirt-less hippie/bird getup for Zen Archer and a fat costume that resembled the Tweedle Twins from Alice in Wonderland.</em>

I'm hearing some great things about last night's AWATS show in Akron. I think I'm going to pay the $20 to catch the chicago webcast. definitely sounds like a unique show. PLUS, UTOPIA as opening act! cool.
