The motorola i1 is a good phone, but the iden network seems really slow on the internet access side. You actually have to rely of WIFI to get a good connection. My old boost phone had better internet connection, but far less features than this one does.

boost texting still horrible....i still have to wait anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes to wait for the download...im thinking about switching to page plus for unlimited everything for 39.99...page plus is from verizon so they should be way better than boost

As a Boost user of two years I have experienced the worse of the texting issues from last year and have noticed some improvements of recent. Having said that, it seems as if the coverage area for the iDEN side has been somewhat decreasing. Locations where I had solid signal in 2009 now are marginal at best. I am exploring other vendors such as ABCO Mobile which is offering unlimited everything, plus roadside vehicle assistance, no credit check or contracts for $39.95 per month. Supposedly it will be on Sprint CDMA. They are scheduled to launch 05-15-10. http://bit.ly/abcom312

I switched from Boost to Straight Talk because of some coverage problems, but MOSTLY because of texting delay/drops.

Straight Talk has been giving me problems accepting different credit cards, and despite their quick texting and unlimited plan, their customer service has cost me my phone number, and hours of my life.

How much improved is the new texting service? I'd gladly switch back to Boost if that issue has been resolved.
